So I was thinking about the admin tools, and how hard it is to stop replies to a thread that is deemed to be dead by list mom or list dad.
Is there a way to change the subject line to indicate "DEAD"? That may provide a more visible flag to people who get into the conversation late, and don't see the closure because they are reading the emails in chrono order from oldest to youngest. Alternatively, flag that subject line in the list serv software such that all replies to that subject get returned to sender with "Dead Thread" or somesuch in the reply? I'm sure there is some way to do this.
