I always thought that sticking any type of aerosol starting fluid was bad news for the MB engines. I kept hearing to never throw starting fluid orether into the OM engines, so I extrapolated this to WD-40. Come on, I don't use fuels other than #2 and a little motor oil now and again.
I've always thought that WD-40's 'active' ingredient here would be the propellant, which I believe to be propane or something similar. -- Jim
