Special springs because of the added weight of a sunroof? So, how does
one compensate for the varying weights of a driver/passenger? This is
kind of bizarre!

I doubt the _entire_ sunroof weighs 50 pounds!  (You wouldn't count
the color panel, since that piece of metal would be there anyway.)
