That sounds much more like what was described to me.

On another positive note I drove the car to work yesterday, thats about 90
miles round trip. When I first picked up the car I thought it ran a little
rough and smoked a little extra but thought both could have been fragments of
my imagination. Yesterday I got about 20 miles from home and the engine felt
like it might be losing power, I'd just put on the blinker to pull over when it
coughed, spat out a HUGE cloud of black smoke (take that tailgater!) and
smoothed right out.
I don't know if the troubleshooting my Indy did built up some carbon or now
with all the fuel going to the cylinders instead of leaking out at the IP its
easier to burn carbon out. Either way on the way home it ran great.

The sleeve can also be dislodged from the pin on the fuel control rack,
resulting in constant or totally erratic fuel delivery from that set.
They just need to be lifted up and dropped back onto the rack pin to
restore proper operation. Thankfully, you don't bend the rack or
something if you move them.

Is the ETS simply an electrical sensor, or do you have to actually =
break into
the refrigerant system to replace it? Also, do you get access to the =
ETS from=20
under the dashboard or from the engine bay/cowl on a W201?
