This could be a good project, I don't think a timing chain
should be that difficult

It happened. My SL600, 1998 is available. I am not replacing the timing
chain. 300,000+ miles I have had enough fun. Summer wheels and a few
service/maintenance spares included. Both tops, Ash soft top, main
Cylinders rebuilt last year. right bank running, left bank cold, p1300
code, 1 tooth error keeping left bank from running. quoted around $6000
for chain. It could use paint, been sitting outside since March so rust
bubbles show, passenger side. I figure it's a nice car for around $8K.
Some fresh leather, near Akron Ohio, asking $1000. suggest bring trailer.
It's been fun.
