A data point. My dad had lung problems and I took him to Mayo in Jacksonville in 1995. Mayo discovered he had aggressive small-cell lung cancer, past point of surviving. His local pulmonologist previously screwed around for several months but never discovered the cancer. I was impressed that the Mayo Docs took time to READ carefully everything in his records. I was impressed by the Mayo Docs.
