The GP
relays themselves can fail, too.  How's its fuse?

Where are both the relay and the strip fuse on a 1981 300CD? Believe it or not, this is the first diesel I've ever owned when I've had even the thought of checking GP's. The engine in this thing seems to be worn out (lots of blow by and hard starting), so I want to see if the glow plug system is doing all it can to improve starting. There is an outside chance that nothing short of a miracle and some hard,hard, hard flogging will do the trick. I'm still hoping it's crudded-up rings rather than just simply worn out.
