My daughter's grandpop left to my son a coupla really nice 12g shotguns
he used for shooting clays. The boy has evidenced no interest in them
for like 18 years. I had them here at the manse, she wanted them so I
passed them on to her, she can sort it out with her bro if it comes to
that. Turns out one of them, a 12g side-by-side had 28g barrel inserts,
a fact I vaguely recalled when the grandpop passed them along when he
was ailing back when.
She went to El Mercado de Wal the other day with her friend and they had
6 (!!!) boxes of shells left on the shelf, 1 12g and 5 28g. She bought
all 5 of the 28g. They shot some the other day, she said the 28 was
fun, not much kick. I had bought a big box of 12g steel shells a coupla
months ago, gave her some of those, those things kicked like a mule in
an old single-barrel she has, but said it was not as bad in the Browning
Citori over/under.
We'll have a 2A day on Friday or Saturday out off the back deck, she
brought her arsenal and I have mine, should be fun.
