Is it a big deal to run an anti-body test? I've been wondering why we're just
bulk vaccinating and not testing to see if people already had antibodies.If
just about 29 million people have already had it that we know of and there are
a whole bunch of people that have had it and didn't know it, it seems like
we're going to waste an awfully large number of doses of vaccine on people who
don't need it, or at least don't need it right away...

I received the first Pfizer before Christmas and the second a few weeks
later. Made me feel like crap for a couple days each time. In fact I was
worried I had COVID. But after a couple of days of bad muscle aches all
over and feeling a bit feverish, no problems. I think maybe I had covid
before the shot, and this is why I reacted even to the first dose of
vaccine. I was certainly exposed to the virus a lot at work. About half of
people have minimal symptoms from the disease, so it could have been one of
the times I had a runny nose and thought it was allergies or something.
My aunt had a delayed hypersensitivity reaction with itchy diffuse rash and
swollen lips etc for a few days after pfizer. She is in her 80s and has RA
on methotrexate. So she thinks that had something to do with it. That is
the worst side effect I have heard about first hand. It responded to
steroids.
There have been a handful of severe anaphylactic immediate type reactions,
but they are rare.
I would get it again. Either vaccine is fine. I think anyone over 50 should
consider it. Under 40 there is a less compelling case for it, although you
might spread the disease less after vaccination if you should get infected.
