Electronics, too. For example, Compaq, Toshiba, Dell, etc. make particular laptops just for certain chain stores---along with Walmart-only models, there are Frye's-only models, Best Buy-only models, etc. This is done in order to hit that particular store's price point by including components of varying cheapness, and also so as to make it harder to comparison shop since you can't just call around or look at ads and check prices at more than one store on the same serial number.
