This doesn't speak well to the local fire department. You don't put water on an electrical fire.AFAIK there is a foam that most FDs have specifically for this kind of fire. I'm not sure the condition they're suggesting occurred is possible. I think the car will require input from a driver every 20-30 seconds or it'll stop driving. I don't think you could "jump in the backseat" and let the car drive as the article suggests. I drove one 2 years ago and it required you to keep your hands on the wheel or the self driving would kick out. -Curt
