Assume you weren't injured. That is the good part. Was the big black truck a Dodge?

I was heading home from the grocery today after work and managed to miss a big
black pickup flying down the road a couple hundred feet from home and got hit
on the right front of the Golf.

Ripped the bumper off, tore off the frame stub, and so forth. Can't imagine
it's not totalled, and I was hoping to keep this one til I retire in a couple
years.

Bad intersection, usually a crash every couple weeks there, and the county
commissioners absolutely refuse to put up a four way stop. Intersection is
angled just enough the door post completely blocks vision, I've had close calls
there for years and always look several times.

Grinds my grits.

Fortunately all the damage to the big hopped up truck appears to be a tire and
rim, nothing else touched the car.

What a Monday, and since I had a migraine this morning I almost stayed home....

The only good news is that I found two replacements on Facebook at first look,
another silver 2004 Golf with 180K and a Jetta with 316k, although that might
not be such a good deal.

I'm driving the limping 88 TE instead, should have spent some time this winter
putting links in the rear, fixing the exhaust, and getting the FI straightened
out!
