The first time I went into the house I expected it to be musty and wet. The previous occupant hadn't been living there for like 6 months at that point. Dad and I were very surprised to find it dry inside. Same thing this spring, nobody had lived in the house all winter but it doesn't have any sign of smell. I think that years of wood heat have probably kept the place pretty dry. A good tin roof (Amish workmanship) will hopefully keep things that way... -Curt
