Saw this in our local MD online discussion: "I learned recently that catalytic converters are being stolen from cars in Bethesda and likely other communities in Montgomery County. I replaced mine about 2 years ago (I have a very old Prius). The only way to prevent this from happening is to install a cover over your catalytic converter. Tomorrow I am going to Jim Coleman to have it installed. Once the cover is installed, it is very difficult to remove the catalytic converter from your vehicle.
