Almost as bad as using letters for words, as in “U” for “you”, for example. I understand the need as in having a limit on the number of characters in a text or tweet, but I just hate it when people use this approach in regular communication, like an email message. Same with people who capitalize the first letter of nearly every word when they post something online.
