I would strongly consider that if it wasn’t rusty and had a tow package (and if I wanted one) as it looks pretty nice. Beat him down a bit, figure out what the issue is with a scan. Hell maybe just needs Fluid or a fluid change. I’d offer $1500 maybe depending on how bad it looks on a scan and how bad he wants to be shed of it.
The 164 06ML500 I got likely needs a rebuild as it really doesn’t want to shift gears. Might just be the pump As it is showing a hydraulic fault but that is integral to the whole thing so you have to tear it apart anyway. I was watching some youtubers of rebuilding a 722.9, it actually doesn’t look that hard once you have the thing on a bench and a rebuild kit with all the clutches and such is surprisingly cheap, less than $300 and you can buy some that are a lot heavier duty too which would be good for towing. This 06ML doesn’t have a hitch though so that is a whole nuther bag of worms to add. The conductor plate OTOH is $850... --FT Sent from iPhone > On Aug 1, 2021, at 2:04 PM, Allan Streib via Mercedes <mercedes@okiebenz.com> > wrote: > _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
