I81 goes from Canadian Border south through Syracuse and Binghamton to
I40 in TN just east of Knoxville. When they were building the
Binghamton-Scranton stretch in the 50's we used to sneak on it with our
bicycles and ride before they opened it officially. Great thrill for
12-13 year old boys. Learning to use gravity on the hills was good
preparation for owning a 240D. (diesel content.) Is it Moose day yet?
