A look at the engine bay would give some indication of corrosion on the aluminum bits, but in general the air does not do much to the body or underneath stuff, that is due more to road salt (or salt water).  I have noticed that the salt air (which is not salt spray, but I guess there is some amount suspended in the air) does have some corrosive effect but it is not severe enough to degrade things (except for these expensive cheaped-out wine coolers I bought, 3 have now had corroded condenser units that cause the refrigerant to leak out)
