I am cleaning up the rust on my trailer using a wire wheel on my angle grinder. It’s going pretty well, those take off the old paint and surface rust fairly quickly.
I had an old DEWALT wheel in the toolbox and used that to do quite a bit. I have no idea how old it is but I remember using it before. I used it until the wires started escaping the hub so bought a new one at Lowe’s the other day. Put it on today and used it for about an hour and it has completely disintegrated. Total crap. I think it’s a Norton brand. And those things aren’t cheap, it was maybe $12.
