WIX is a safe bet for industrial engines, I would avoid Hastings. I used WIX for years in the generator business and never once had an issue.
I’m a bit peeved at shippers, too. I have a 30” Apple Cinema Display I want to move from Tampa to Flagstaff. I have an official Apple shipping box for one in Flagstaff. Because the shippers base most of their costs on volume and not weight, it would cost me $130-$140 to ship an 8 pound empty box from Flagstaff to Tampa. Once a monitor is in it, it would only add about $10 for the additional weight. So now I’m just going to have to pack it myself in some sort of non-standard box. It’s still going to cost a boatload of $$ to ship it, but at least I’ll only have to do it in one direction. Then I just have to hope the carrier doesn’t destroy it as they often do.
