I'd be tempted to try strong detergent, Simple Green, Mr. Clean, etc. with 
maybe some ammonia, and very hot water.

There used to be a powder called Spic-N-Span that was pretty good, that's 
probably been canceled at some point but might be sold under under another name.

Or maybe TSP?
