These newer (and by newer most anything newer than 20yr) cars were not designed to be maintained economically.  Maybe as long as the warranty.  Unlike 123s, 126s, even 124s and maybe 210s though those cars can be a pain too. I guess when bean counters took over from engineers things started going to hell
