What Jim said - it's all emotion and politics. Most coal plants are being replaced or converted to gas here in OK, due to Devon energy owning the GOP here. Thorium nuclear is the only power source that makes sense today (or will once someone in power sees the light). Meanwhile, there's good money to be made installing wind and solar.
