Yeah. Diesel for the win here I think. These gassers are very inefficient. I will keep pouring premium into ours as long as California will allow, but fundamentally the car does not need the million ft lb of torque it seems to have. It is very quiet, however, compared to the klatta klatta.
Anyone know how to get rid of periodic massive gas smell in the trunk and passenger compartment? Seems worse if I top off the gas, so I am guessing something is venting kiquid fuel into the trunk or something. There is a fuel tank vent system which is probably messed up also, given I cannot remove the (new) gas cap half the time, so maybe that system needs some attention/parts. 88 560 sel.
