I got a tag renewal bill from the County for $162 on the 12GL450. We
pay the County for MV tax and then they pay the DMV and the renewal
sticker shows up. The appraised value shown on the bill was $9330. I
only paid $4k for it. I sent in an appeal email yesterday and this
morning it got knocked down to $88 which I guess is reasonable. Most of
my other vehicles being much older are like $12 or maybe $30 every other
year which has something to do with how the tax is assessed or
something, I never quite understood that.
Anyway, not a bad return for 10min of effort.
