It wasn't actually meant to blast John with a big no, more like nudge to try 
other options before resorting to using something not necessarily meant to seal 
fuel lines. So to refrase that statement I would suggest try it before you 
trust it in a fix. Don't make it permanent and repair the offending leak as 
soon as possible.

I have to agree with Marshall on this one.  There is NO place in ANY fuel 
system for teflon tape.  A proper fitting connection will not be sealing on 
the threads where the tape does it's job.
