But essentially, the life of the battery is the life of the vehicle. It's not cost-effective to replace them.
Especially as cars are not engineered for easy battery replacement. In fact the opposite, the battery is designed to be part of the structure of the car. If an EV battery has a life of 10 years and the car is then scrap, then the price of the car when new should be much less than a gasoline car but they are typically priced higher.
