I simply can't believe all you middle-aged channel clicking couch potatoes
aren't clamoring for more info about how to install remote doorlocks on your
126/201/124 Mercs - S'up up wit dat?

Hmmm, come to think of it, I may have picked up the last one at that
particular AZ, but I know I've seen that model around. Here's a link to the
Audiovox page for this model, which has a dealer locator and the
installation manual.

Now that I don't need to scratch my head so much trying to figure the durn
thing out, I could realistically install this unit in approximately 20
minutes--it's really that easy. I will add the caveat that I unplugged my
factory alarm system years ago, so I have no idea whether my particular
approach has any unintended consequences for interfering with that dodgy
item.

The vacuum pump has two wire connectors:

   - A flat plug with 2 wires - a power and ground (IIRC, red and
   brown)
   - A round plug with 3 wires - blue green and yellow wires (snip the
blue wire ~2-3" back from the plug)

The four wires you'll use on the AA-925:
[Main Harness]
Red - Piggy-backs onto the red power wire [flat plug]
Black - Piggy-backs onto the brown ground wire [flat plug]
(the rest of the wires in this harness are superfluous and just take up
space)

[Small door lock output harness]
Red - connects to one side of the snipped blue wire on the VP [round plug]
Green - connects to the other side of the snipped blue wire on the VP
[round plug]
Red/Black - unused
(loosely connect the red and green wires to the ends of the snipped blue
wire, because you'll need to determine which attaches closest to the pump
and vice versa--I don't remember which is which. If you reverse them, the
functions of the remote's buttons will be reversed).

That's it.
