I have had that problem on at least 5 of the W123s I've dealt with. They have all been because of rear glass seal. Not the glass in the door, the one between the roof and the trunk. In all cases, I fixed it with a bead of black RTV between the glass and the rubber gasket. No dis-assembly, less than $10, and less than 15 minutes. That doesn't mean that's the only leak that will put water on you back floorboard!! -- Philip, with a bunch of beaters.
