Hey all,
I need to pay bills so if anyone is interested in the 83 300SD I just picked
up a week or so ago I will take the best reasonable offer for it. I will put
it on Craigslist if none of you guys are interested. It has 209K miles and the
engine runs great. I changed the fluid in the tranny and, like was suggested,
I think the front pump is shot in the tranny......Fluid doesn't even get warm
after running the engine up to temp. Body is OK looking but has some patched
rust by the jacking points and the frame rails are smashed in from jackstands.
Interior is beat up but repairable. Dash is good but door panels are messed up
on the front. Passenger front window regulator is messed up too. Tires are
good and appear to be worn even. Looks like it could be a fairly cheap driver
with a good tranny and some TLC. Battery doesn't take a charge either so it
needs replaced. Maybe a good parts car for one of you.

It broke due to operator error. When I did my glow plug conversion a few
moths back to pencil types I removed some o the injector line clamps and
reattached them. I bet I did not tighten the one that holds #3 and #4
cyclinder lines enough. Without the clamp (yes they do serve a purpose)
The line must have vibrated loose. My bad.
