Rusty has the leatherique cleaner, but I find a product called Quick-n-Brite <www.quicknbrite.com> works just as well, and is far cheaper. It also works on damn near everything else, from trans lube to the dog--literally! I use it to wash my cars, including filthy rims, and carpets, upholstry, the whole thing. The only thing I don't use it for that they claim it works on, and it no doubt does, is windows, as it's a bit tricky to get the formula just right to avoid streaking. Other than that, it does everything they say it will. Non-toxic, biodegradeable, etc. I have no financial interest in it, but wonder how I ever got along without it. Works great as a followup to leatherique, in particular.

Sounds like you may have crap in the valve body, about the only thing
possibly to try before disassembly is a tranny flush.
