I've got a '91 300CE 24-Valve as a daily driver. Be prepared for some expensive parts due to the smaller number of cars produced. When I bought it a couple of years ago it needed an electrical module (don't remember the exact name). A new one was over $1,500, found a used one for $300. I replaced the fuel distributor recently, Rusty has new ones for $1,600 but he found me a rebuilt one for $600 with core exchange. It needs a valve job and Jarek, Michael Hall's dad who works on it for me, quoted around $2,000 for the job. You have to use at least mid-grade gasoline and it runs better on premium. Positive points are it runs like a bat our of h***, with quick acceleration, takes corners like it is on rails and gets around 22 mpg. And as you say, it looks snazzy. Mine is black with grey interior and 16 inch wheels from a CLK.
