Kaleb, My experience is that the transmissions need rebuilt around 170k, also some of the later models had some bad clutches, thus it might be worth your time to just pull tranny and put new clutches in it.
It looks like I might have to pull the engine on my 560SEL, it appears to have a leak around oil pan, which someone had tried used epoxy on the outside to fix.
