[MBZ] tranny filter/gasket kit interchangeability

I've got a tranny gasket and filter kit hangin' 'round that was ordered for 
my '78 300CD.  Will this work with the '83 SD?  Also, does this car have 
that dreaded tranny plug that also holds the filler/dipstick  tube in place 
as the W123's do?
