Found two Benz. Nice 1965 190D with engine still there and sheet
metal
looking great, but for the large rust patch on the driver door.
Gutted
interior, so not able to get much. Auto tranny. Really built
like a
tank compared to the sheet metal on Gump.
The other is a 280sel (w110) that has rear quarter panel damage.
Monkeys got in and tore the dash pad off, busted the locks so
driver
side door do not open and made off with the dash cluster and
much that
was not nailed down. Engine compartment is not touched.
Brown leather seats and most of the wood looked great. I am
trying to
figure out if I should upgrade Gump with the nice door trim
wood, or
just offer that on eBay. Might give Gump some pizzazz. Really
not
sure I want to cut it to make it fit.
