I think it's their ego telling them they need a fancy car so others may see
how good they are.
They certainly are not buying them because of superior reliability or
practicality.
You know when people have made it, the missus gets a boob job and hubby gets
the sports car(and a better toupee that doesn't fly off when the top is
down).
