I'd have thought they'd have used Toyota diesels. They look similar though, I
wonder if somebody saw a Toyota diesel and thought it was from a Mercedes.

I bet a 617 would work out well. The original I6 wasn't a super powerhouse...

If I were going to do it I'd use a 4BT Cummins though.

According to this[1] page, Toyota used Mercedes diesels in some of
their Land Cruisers.

Anyone know how difficult such a swap would be? Or what motor they
used? There is an old Land Cruiser locally with a supposedly bad
engine.

Instead, I you should buy this one:=20

=20

It has lower miles, its cleaner, cheaper, comes with an extra set of
wheels, and if you buy it now I will throw in a set of sheepskin seat
covers. :-)=20
