Actually, I think there have been extra charges for odd/oversized letters for some time. Not sure what the exact limits are, though. I do recall having to put extra postage on a greeting card envelope several years ago, not due to weight but to the dimensions. I think it has to do with whether the dimensions are such that the automated equipment can't handle it and it kicks out for manual sorting. Allan -- 1983 300D 1966 230
