I've seen a few of those.  A local BMW repair shop also has a crude
2002 truck conversion as a parts runner.  The funny thing is that the
proportions of the 2002 make a really good pickup---you can see the
potential for it to have come out a lot nicer, sort of like the old VW
Rabbit-based pickups, but this one pretty much looks like they just
took a Sawzall to everything behind the front seats.
