Like Rich in Houston, I've never had an issue here in PHX when I mix SVO and
diesel fuel. Not sure about the colder climes.

Has anyone tried mixing VO and diesel fuel? Does anyone know if the 2 will
stay mixed in the tank?

I'm asking because it would be easy for me to run a mix without too much
trouble.

Thanks,

Now that #2 is $3.05 here, I bought 5 gallons of SVO that was on sale to
last me until tomorrow night when I have to head to work.where I can get,
along the freeway, #2 at Loves for $2.85 (I hope). So I dump in the SVO and
drive off and by the time I make it to the first light, it seems I am
running markedly smoother and quieter. Since they have gone to exclusively
low-sulfur I haven't made it into town to the closest bio pump (about 6
months or so). Does it really make that much of a difference or am I just
nuts? It sounds and feels so much better it makes me want to start
collecting WVO...

Bob,

Your mentality is NOT in question here! The same thing happened when I
dumped in 5 gallons or Costco's finest soybean cooking oil, against maybe 3

gallons of #2 in the tank. For whatever reason, I had the engine warm and
idling
and within three minutes, the engine quieted down and ran smoother. VERY
noticeable! I really did not expect to hear any difference but their
surely is.
Kind of like adding a quart of motor oil to the fuel tank at high
altitudes, as it alters the rate of combustion.

And the smell of the exhaust is much more pleasant, as well.
