A 190D 2.2L is a race car compared to a 123 body 240D with an automatic
transmission.

In fact I think that everybody else should just have to tow an anchor.
I wasn't ever bothered by my 240D's sedate acceleration but other people
seemed to be...

As far as I'm concerned my 190D 2.2l is just about perfect. Of course
40mpg helps me feel that way.
