Bob, The next time you go to change the oil, put a quart of diesel in the oil and run the engine at idle for 10-15 min. Then change as usual. I got rid of a tapping on an old Dodge that way.

Acura Lifter Tapping When Cold To: "Mercedes Discussion List" <Mercedes@okiebenz.com> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" SO.the wife's '87 Acura Legend (189K Miles) has developed a lifter tapping when the engine is cold. When it comes off the cold peg, it goes away. The oil is fresh and the level is SAT. The dudes on the Acura forum said, among many things, to use the Auto RX or Sea Foam in the oil to clear out the we, small oil passages. Sound reasonable? Bob R. Gets a we bit nervous when working on non MB stuff _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
