Few years back, Subaru required premium fuels here too, and it put a lot of buyers off. I hear most now run on regular, other than their "hot" cars. All my cars run on premium, but I don't really mind. Here, they cut the lower grades with ethynol, so you're paying for gas, and yet getting something with less bang for you buck, or less bang per litre anyway. Some stations cut everything, but the one I use cuts there regular by up to 10%, and their mid grade by up to 5%, while premium is not cut at all.
