I've never driven mine faster than walking pace, but from what I recall, they are supposed to accelerate to 100kph like a 1987 300D, with fuel economy maybe 10% better than a 1990-93 300D. The W124/OM603 has it beat for top speed. It has less back seat room than a Dodge Omni, but you already knew that.
