Gary - do be aware that you will not be able to do that accurately all the time. I can tell within a few points when mine is in the mid 80's, but often am not at all sure up to mid 200's. It is the high blood sugar that slowly kills you, not the diabetes. I check 3 x a day at least, and the strips are way too expensive at @ $.40 each. Covered by insurance though. While we are not on the subject, I was in Karachi several years ago and paid about $20 the same insulin I buy here - now at $104 bottle [before insurance]. A tad much markup IMHO. BillR
