As previously discussed in the mailing list, wehave been wanting to slowly revive in-person sprints for a while.

To that end, we will start with a minisprint, focused on high-level project matters and not so much on new features or the core of Mercurial itself. Relevant topics include Python packaging, Rust packaging, web and web infrastructure, tooling,CI improvements, etc. While the project has made very significant strides in these matters over the past few years, we are still short of what we could achieve. Much of that effort has been done in a reactive manner and we hope that explicitly putting aside some time will give us the opportunity to be more proactive. Of course, other topics are not banned from being discussed at this sprint, and there will be a wider range of discussionsand planning, but the theme highlighted above will be the main focus.

The sprint will take place on July 23th, 24th and 25th. It will be hosted by Pierre Augier at the Science Library of the Grenoble-Alpes University, in Grenoble, France.

Please start planning your travel and hosting accordingly. *Pierre will need the name**s**of people attend**ing**about two week**s**in advance*, so please add yourself to the sprint wiki page before then, https://wiki.mercurial-scm.org/2025Sprint.

Sponsoring helpsus to cover meals and travel for those who need it, please get in touch with us¹if you are willing tosponsor this event.
