I've just started playing with Mercurial and Mercurial Eclipse and I'm pretty impressed. I do have one concern. I noticed that when I cloned a repo through HTTPS my password was saved as plaintext in the hgrc file that was created for the local copy. Similarly, when I pushed to a remote repo via HTTPS the password was printed in plaintext on the console.
Is there any way to avoid both of these? I might not have noticed except that my password has a non- alphanumeric symbol in it that was encoded in the URL and caused all sorts of exceptions.
