I've never thought about this kind of setup - so it's never been tested. 
But probably one could adapt the plugin to support this. Currently, if 
you say it doesn't work, it is not supported, though and it depends on 
you if you will take the chance to wait - personally, I won't have the 
time to do much till April 2010, but there are others that might 
implement it...
