I have searched this forum for mecurial bookmark postings and found nothing
on my topic. I apologize, as a newbie to the forum and mercurial, if the
answer has been given.
For our environment, where we us Trac heavily, it really helps to use
bookmarks to separate development threads in the local repo until a task
implementation is ready for testing. MercurialEclipse has decent support
for switching bookmarks but I would like to add some feature requests.
- Add a bookmarks column in History so it is easy to see which
changeset(s) go with which bookmarks, similar to tags.
- Support associating a bookmark with a Trac item via Mylyn.
Eclipse/Mylyn/Trac already support associating file sets with Trac items.
- Doing this in EclipseMercurial could mean switching bookmarks when
a Trac task associated with a bookmark is selected
- OR it could mean switching to a Trac task when a bookmark was
selected that has been associated with the bookmark.
Either would be an enhancement.
I have no idea whether other projects (i.e., Trac and Mylyn) would have to
make changes to support this request.
