It depends on the application under test. there are framworks like : DataDriven: Iterate the same set of test on multiple data. Keyward Driven:Require long time to implement but ROI is greater and easy to maintain. Use Keyward to implement this framwork. It include DriverScript,Utility Script,Testdata, OR, Function library,Test Cases.
Hybrid:Use combination of above.
